ANSSI Issues Comprehensive Regulations To Protect Critical Infrastructure

In France, Operators of Vital Importance (OIVs) – also referred to as critical infrastructure operators – include organizations that supply the country with public services such as water, pharmaceuticals, energy, telecommunications, chemicals, and transportation. Such organizations are bound by French law to deploy cybersecurity programs.

The guidance for these programs was issued by ANSSI (The French National Agency for the Security of Information Systems), and details which kinds of cybersecurity programs their auditors will regard as robust.
